Located in rural Jo Daviess County in the midst of rolling hills and wooded acres, the dog guests at
Moon Valley Pet Lodge are greeted by the owners, Larry Carmichael and Sue Nicolini, dog friends
and the scent and sounds of nature.

Over the years we have owned dogs, horses, cats and birds. Our love of animals and our quiet and secluded location allowed us to create a special place for dogs to stay when their owners are away. Moon Valley Pet Lodge was founded in 2001. To enhance our services Moon Valley Dogland Dog Park was opened in June 2010. Our current animal family consists of five dogs — four Labradors and a rescued Shephard mix. We couldn't imagine our life without them and we treat your dog(s) like a member of our family. Many of our longtime clients are like family to us. We look forward to their visits (dog and human) at Moon Valley.

We built our facility with safety and the comfort of your dog in mind. We offer a variety of extra activities for your dog(s) so they can have fun: playtime, ATV rides, swims, pampered pet packages, socialization in our Dogland Dog Park and walks in the country. We have never met a dog that doesn't love a walk. Our base rate allows you to pick the extra activities to ensure your dog(s) have fun while they are at Moon Valley.
